Pierre Malterre-West

Pierre wears many hats as a dedicated real estate agent: as a multitasker, problem-solver, trusted advisor, and matchmaker who brings people and properties together. Whether you're seeking that perfect home or selling and moving on, he's available for every need and always puts his clients' best interest first. Listening, communicating, and employing his keen analytical skills are also Pierre's fortes. As his father was a builder, he has a natural passion for real estate and architecture, causing him to wander aimlessly around NYC admiring building facades, and posting his pictures and impressions on Instagram. He recently became a US citizen and understands the ins and outs of international relocation.
Though he hails from France, Pierre is a Manhattanite at heart. He prides himself on his knowledgeable and keeps up to date on current trends and market conditions. Prior to real estate, Pierre worked in luxury retail in Paris honing his customer service skills. He later spent two years with a New York contractor doing estimates and design work.

Pierre has lived in France and Melbourne, Australia, and moved to New York 25 years ago. He speaks French and English fluently, served in the French Military in Germany, and holds two French Bachelor degrees in sales and business management. On the personal side, Pierre is married to a wonderful husband and is a proud pet lover. In free time he enjoys swimming, cooking, and watching Formula 1 on TV. Pierre volunteers with God's Love We Deliver and fundraises for the annual Douglas Elliman Ride for Love.
