Katie Bishop’s seasoned career spans over two decades and can best be demonstrated in the countless stories and relationships she has garnered over the years rather than just through figures and statistics. During her professional career, she has worked with buyers and sellers from Hyde Park to Lake Forest and everywhere in-between, completing hundreds of transactions during her tenure. More importantly, she has created invaluable relationships with families, agents, contractors, designers, and Chicago’s elite network of industry professionals. Whether Katie’s clients are looking for an investment property, purchasing their first home, or enlisting her help for another move, Katie’s tireless entrepreneurial spirit, professional connections, and determination is ever-present. As a seasoned investor who manages her own portfolio of properties, Katie also fosters meaningful relationships through humor, wit, boldness, and moxie. Her keen eye for high-end aesthetics and ability to spot the hidden potential in a home started early in her career, prompting her first purchase and remodel in 2003, and since then she has achieved a proven record of real estate excellence resulting in her being recognized as one of Chicago’s Top Producers. Katie has also benefitted greatly from her long-standing relationship with Sotheby’s International Realty, which has given her worldwide reach and connections through a truly best-in-class brokerage. Katie’s grit and determined spirit has carried her through many of life’s hurdles, including a brain cancer diagnosis in 2017. Thanks to her expansive network of family, friends, and clients who rallied around her in the same way that she has done for them in the past, Katie was able to get back to work and continue her passion of helping others see their lifestyle dreams come to life. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, staying active, and giving back to the community. She regularly volunteers for Humble Design and Betsy’s Blankets, has been on the Children’s Service Board at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, and is an avid supporter of the American Brain Tumor Association. Katie lives in Wilmette with her husband and young son, jetting back and forth between the North Shore and downtown Chicago.
